If you’ve been following along with Country Wife Chronicles for any time now, then you know that endometriosis is a part of my story, a part of my infertility valley. March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and so in honor of spreading awareness, I wanted to take a minute to round up previous endometriosis-related posts here on the blog. Today’s post will be a full round-up of all the posts I have written pertaining to endometriosis. And you will see some of these same posts over the next few weeks as well.
As a quick primer…
Endometriosis is a common disease in which tissue that is similar to the uterine lining grows where it isn’t supposed to – outside the womb and in other parts of the body. One in ten women suffer from endometriosis at some point in their lives, the disease typically starts in the teenage years. This means that even if you do not have endometriosis, you likely know someone who does.
So, without further adieu, here is what I’ve shared on the blog in regards to Endo. Just click on the images below to head to the blog post and read more.
Roughly 10% of women have endometriosis–that’s almost 200 million women worldwide. Endometriosis is much more than just bad period pain. It often impacts fertility, that was my story.
I’m sharing more of my personal journey with endometriosis, and subsequently infertility, in a unique and upcoming book, (In)Fertility: Secrets, Struggles, & Successes. Each chapter of (In)Fertility is written by a different author, intended as a stand-alone entity within a greater community of story, experience, and wisdom sharing. You can think of each chapter as a coffee date with a new friend–women sharing their struggles and successes with infertility and fertility professionals sharing their best tips and advice for the journey. Read it chapter by chapter when time allows and take in all the wisdom being shared with you, or read it cover to cover and surround yourself with a community of women who have been there.
