Life has been incredibly busy lately and I’m still working on some finishing touches for the eBook…not to mention trying to figure out the technical side of delivering Streams in the Wasteland to y’all! Remember, I still a newbie at this blogging thing!
Streams in the Wasteland is comprised of two stories…two very different stories.
There’s Graci’s story: a battle with ovarian cancer.
And then there’s mine: a valley of infertility.
The common ground we share in our two stories is our faith, our hope in the hardship.
I wrote Streams in the Wasteland to honor Graci’s life and share her story with more women around the world. But I also wrote this devotional to help you find hope in the hardships that life is bringing you.
So you may have noticed by now that CWC has sort-of become Streams in the Wasteland headquarters. Yes, it’s true…
I’ve been so busy finalizing the eBook and crafting the finishing touches that I really haven’t had much time, or inspiration for that matter, to write any blog posts on other subjects. I hope you aren’t getting sick of eBook talk just yet…because I’m just so stinkin’ excited about being able to offer this resource to my readers for ABSOLUTELY FREE that it is all I’m thinking about and putting my effort towards these days.
Last week I shared with you the exciting news that is my latest creation, Streams in the Wasteland—my first “official” devotional eBook!
Streams in the Wasteland is a 31-day devotional aimed at finding hope in the hardships of life. With the intertwining of two deeply personal stories of hardship and heartache, one of a battle with ovarian cancer, another with infertility; this devotion explores searching for hope on the dark days.
Y’all, I have some insane news to share with you…I’m writing an eBook! Well, a devotional eBook, to be specific…Streams in the Wasteland.
Not so long ago, the Lord placed the idea of creating a devotional on my heart. I’ve experimented with some ideas with friends and family over the last couple of years, but this time I’m sharing my creation with the world! I know, it’s still sinking in for me, too.
I feel like I’ve been a full-on hermit living under a rock for the last three weeks as the eBook writing process is nearing completion. Man, writing a book, y’all…it’s an undertaking. One I sorely underestimated!
Biggest lesson in the devotional writing adventure thus far? Don’t procrastinate…and always plan on it taking longer than you think it will. Yup, hard, painful lessons learned on this first go-round.
Well, we’ve finally come to the conclusion of our first blogiversary series here on CWC. We’ve really done a lot of unpacking over the last few weeks, haven’t we?
We dug deeper into the inspiration behind CWC to find a whole lot of casseroles. Yeah, you’ll have to go back to Part 1 to see for yourself.

We are quickly winding down our blogiversary series here at CWC. The month of March will kickoff a whole new series for y’all, but I’ll be getting to that a little later on.
I’ve been having so much fun with this series; I hope y’all are enjoying it as much as I am! I have thoroughly appreciated taking a look back at the history behind CWC, the story of our launch, and sharing some lessons learned over the past year, as well as a few of my favorite blogs to boot.
I still can’t believe it’s been one year. The time has gone by so fast. I feel like we’ve covered much ground over the past year, yet I feel like I have even more to share!
Country Wife Chronicles celebrates country roads, less is more, and a wildfire marriage.

And today, in Part 2 of the Country Wife Chronicles’ blogiversary series, I’m going to share a little on the details behind the official launch of CWC. Because our launch story is pretty indicative of where CWC will be headed in the future.
